Overview

Project description

EchoMaps is a prototype app designed to help users reconnect with their identity, particularly people of mixed race who feel disconnected from their cultures.

The project followed a design process of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, test, and implement. It also included user research to evaluate the app's purpose and use. I built a Figma wireframe and a video prototype to show the user experience, with Sarah Alexander performing in the video.

Process

Process

This project was developed through a design process that moved from research and ideation to wireframing and video prototyping. I refined the app by thinking through user experience, testing how the interface and narrative framing could support themes of cultural reconnection and self-discovery.
